Silence, Stone, and Warmth
The design language of No.8 Palace draws from the timeless aesthetic of ancient bathhouses –monolithic stone, warm timber, and the interplay of shadow and light. Every surface was chosen for its tactile quality and acoustic properties, creating an environment that feels both monumental and intimate.
Lighting design was critical: recessed spotlights graze textured walls, continuous LED coves wash ceilings with golden warmth, and backlit onyx accents punctuate key moments. The result is a layered illumination scheme that evolves throughout the day, enhancing the meditative quality of the space.
